2019 SF Decorator Showcase

Cook Construction was honored to be the primary general contractor for the 2019 San Francisco Decorator Showcase in Presidio Heights. Versaille's Le Petit Trianon inspired the classical Beaux-Arts mansion built in 1904 by architect Frank S. Van Trees for wool merchant Marcus Koshland and his wife, Cora.

Cook Construction collaborated with designer Kelly Hohla on "The Wo-Man Cave," a salon for a modern-day Marie Antionette. A former storage area for ballroom furniture, the team transformed it into a lounge where the woman of the house can retreat to enjoy books, music, and art. On the same floor, Cook Construction worked with architect David Armour and designer Jaimie Belew to refashion a series of service rooms. While retaining the traditional structure of the spaces, the Main Catering Kitchen, Butler’s Pantry, Service Lounge, and Powder Room now function and flow for contemporary entertaining. Upstairs Cook Construction renovated the Primary Bath Spa for ABH Interiors a room that harkens back to the grandeur of the historic estate.
